Earsauce - Story so far, the

One of the greatest things about listening to self-produced artists is that you get to experience a recording that has been written, produced and

distributed by the artist himself, eliminating most of the music business boundaries and bringing the musician not only closer by the audience, but also to the production of his own music.

Evan Valentine and Steve Bower, aka Earsauce came out with “Story So far, the”, a 20 tracks free downloadable album that smoothly flows through the speakers, constanly surprising.

As the first couple of songs go by, it is easy to label this record as a folk-songwriting piece of music, but all of a sudden, and sounding disarmingly organic, electro/funky jams, reggae and ambient elements blend in.

As the songs follow one another, the listener has got the feeling to be together with the artists while they are recording, discussing and jamming out the material, while at the same time the music on the album is so far from being a draft, and it sounds complete, minimal and tastefully produced.
